The Migrate Clients utility allows the Administrator to give ORM access to clients that have already registered using an IMM profile. This prevents duplicate client records and allows existing IMM clients to log in to ORM without the need of reentering their information.
After testing the ORM profile, and determining it's ready to go live, the Administrator should migrate all existing IMM clients to ORM using the Migrate Clients utility. Begin by selecting the IMM Profile Name (the NACCRRAware Administrator can provide this if needed) and the corresponding ORM profile name. Click the Migrate button. Depending on the number of existing IMM clients in the NACCRRAware database, this process may take several minutes to complete. When complete, a report showing any failures will appear. Print the screen and refer to the NACCRRAware client records identified; contact the NDS Help Desk if any assistance interpretting the results is desired.
Finalizing IMM to ORM Migration
After successfully migrating the IMM clients, the Administrator will need to update the hyperlink(s) on the agency website. The ORM profile URL can be found in the browser's address bar when viewing the first screen after clicking Preview. Typically this is the ORM Login screen unless the profile does not require clients to create an account. After testing the link on the agency website, it's best to expire all existing IMM profiles. This can be done by the NACCRRAware Administrator following these steps:
- In NACCRRAware, navigate to Administration > Internet Mask.
- Select the profile and click "Edit Profile".
- On the Security screen, enter yesterday's date and save.
- Click the IMM profile Preview link to insure it no longer works.
